Historical Restoration

 

This project involved interior and exterior renovations to a historic building, which dates all the way back to the year 1925 and was once the premises of the first newspaper in Coral Gables. This was a design/build project with Gurri Matute Construction Company’s affiliate architectural firm, Gurri Matute PA, and it was done in two phases. Throughout these design and construction phases, the overall goal of the project was to maintain the Mediterranean Revival style and historical integrity of the building while adding to its updated functionality as a café and restaurant space.
